For me the lesson is that no matter what, moving my body in some way every single day results in less pain, more flexibility, and I LOVE seeing and feeling the muscles I work so hard to create.
I also pull on my mind’s knowledge that if I don’t get my fitness in I will be even colder all day long since it jump starts my metabolism.
What are your trips and tricks for hydration and fitness in cold weather? Inquiring minds want to know.
SADS or not, the one thing I will NOT do is find excuses to avoid exercise. It has become a habit I need daily, and just as I will brush my teeth each day, so will I get my exercise done. NO EXCUSES.
I continue 5 days a week at the gym because I can, it feels good, it allows me to continue living an active life outside of the gym, enjoying hiking and biking and swimming and fishing and traveling as I work to keep that “REAL AGE” clock at a number lower than my chronological age.

You don’t have to go to the gym. You can walk the mall, or walk your dog, or ride a bicycle, or march in place during TV commercials, or walk up and down the stairs in your house, at your office, or park the car in the back of the lot instead of driving around for 10 minutes looking for the spot closest to the door.
