Better Than Take Out Orange Chicken
No Need For Chinese Take Out When You Taste This Orange Chicken - the name of the recipe says it all. My family loved it!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs Cut Into Small Cubes
- 4 cups Broccoli Florets
- 2 2/3 cups of Riced Cauliflower
- 1/2 cup Orange Juice (I Fresh Squeezed 2 Oranges)
- 2 tablespoons Ginger, Minced or Freshly Grated
- 4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- 1 teaspoon Orange Zest, Grated
- 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil
- 1 tablespoons Asian Chili-Garlic Sauce
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 4 teaspoons Toasted Sesame Seeds For Garnish
Directions:
- In a microwave safe bowl covered loosely microwave the riced cauliflower on high for 4 minutes. Set aside
- In a large non-stick pan heat the sesame oil over low-medium heat. Add the chicken and brown on all sides
- Add the ginger, garlic, chili garlic sauce, orange juice, orange zest and soy sauce. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes, until the sauce has reduced and thickened some. Stir well and remove from heat
- At the same time, in a separate pot, steam the broccoli in about 1 inch of water for about 4 minutes until almost soft… or to whatever texture you prefer
- Drain the broccoli, put the turkey and spice mixture back on low heat and add the broccoli and riced cauliflower and mix well to combine all the flavors
- When it is heated through, serve in bowls and top each with a sprinkle of 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
