Chicken Burgers With a Taste of the Greek Isles
I love grilling season. I can make a batch of burgers and reheat them for lunches. Today’s recipe made 6 burgers and there are only two of us eating, so YOU do the math. They are full of flavor and texture and protein and super low on fat and carbohydrates.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound Lean Ground Chicken
- 1 cup Spinach, Chopped
- 2 ounces Feta Cheese Crumbles
- 4 tablespoons Chopped Black Olives
- 3.5 ounces of Chopped Onion
- Seasoning to Taste - Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Oregano, Basil, Rosemary, Thyme, Cumin, Coriander, Cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
- In a large mixing bowl mix all of the ingredients together
- Make into 6 equal size “meatballs” and then into patties
- Place in refrigerator for at least one hour so they stay together when cooked
- Cook on medium high heat on the grill, in a frying pan (that has been sprayed with non-stick spray) or under the broiler for 3-5 minutes. Flip over and continue cooking until done (another 3-5 minutes)
- Serve hot with your favorite side.
NUTRITION: Makes 6 burgers, each with approximately
- 118 calories
- 21 grams of protein
- 2.3 grams carbs
