Cream Cheese and Lox, No Bagel Please
Looking for something different for breakfast or brunch? Were you like me, a great fan of bagels with tons of cream cheese and lox before weight loss surgery? Would you like cream cheese and lox back on your menu? Take a look at this fun and simple way to serve it for a real taste treat.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces lox (nova)
- 3 ounces fat free cream cheese
- 6 super thin slices of red onion (optional, of course)
- 6 super thin slices of tomato
- 1 cucumber peeled and sliced thin
- 3 large leaves of romaine or other soft lettuce that will wrap
Directions:
- Put the lettuce leaves on a plate
- Spread each leaf evenly with cream cheese
- Top with the lox
- Evenly distribute some tomato, onion and cucumber over the lox
- Wrap them up and ENJOY!!!
