Garlic Sriracha BBQ Turkey Meatloaf
The weather here has cooled off enough to turn on my oven to bake a tasty meatloaf. If it is garlic and Sriracha sauce my family will love it. How about yours?
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 1/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Chopped
- 4 tablespoons Trader Joe’s Garlic Sriracha BBQ Sauce (Or Any Low Sugar BBQ Sauce plus some Sriracha Sauce)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
Directions:
- Spray a skillet with non-stick spray and heat to medium high
- Sauté chopped onions, stirring frequently, until they are opaque and softening
- Add garlic, continue stirring for about one minute
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool
- In a large mixing bowl add the turkey, onion, garlic, egg whites, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of the BBQ sauce. Mix together well, using your hands if necessary
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Spray a loaf pan with non-stick and place the turkey mixture into the loaf pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven, brush the top with the reserved 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce. Return to oven and bake for another 5 - 10 minutes. Internal temperature should be 165 degrees when done
- Remove from oven and let rest for about 5 minutes. Serve hot with your vegetable of choice
