It's a Greek Taste Bonanza Turkey Burger
I enjoy grilling turkey burgers and coming up with new tasty recipes. My family is always anxious for that first bite to see what I have put in them this time. These were a winner, oh, and by the way, nobody gets them on buns. They taste so good why hide the taste in bread?
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of Lean Ground Turkey
- 1 Egg
- 2 Egg Whites
- 4 ounces Feta Cheese, Crumbled
- One 2/12 ounce Can of Sliced Black Olives, Drained
- 1 cup Baby Spinach, Chopped
- 3 tablespoons Sundried Tomatoes, Chopped
- 3 tablespoons Fresh Mint, Chopped
- 4 tablespoons Fresh Basil, Chopped
- 5 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- 4 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, Chopped
- 3 tablespoons Fresh Thyme, Chopped
- 1/2 Medium Onion, Chopped
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Ground Lemon Pepper
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. I used my hands to make sure everything was well blended.
- Make 10 equal size “meatballs”
- Flatten to desired thickness and refrigerate for 30minutes to an hour before grilling. This helps them hold their shape on the grill
- Spray grill with non-stick spray, or use a Teflon sheet to grill on (they are the best), or spray a large skillet on medium high on the stove
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, turn and cook the other side for 6-8 minutes. Internal temperature should be around 165 degrees
- Remove from grill, or pan and serve hot
