It is September 4th, I have had my endoscopy, Dr. Billy has tried a fill, waited 4 weeks and found an empty band when he went back to check. I am finally scheduled to have my port or tubing replaced on September 18th. That is 3 days after my 65th birthday and I am looking forward to getting this birthday behind me, getting my surgery done, and finding my sweet spot once again so I have my satiety back.
Meanwhile, with careful planning of each meal every day I have managed to take off 15 pounds. They are the pounds that crept on when I wasn’t looking and bring me to the upper limit of my original goal weight. So now I am working on 5 more off before surgery, 5 more right after surgery to bring me back down to an acceptable weight in my mind and then I will reassess from there. My surgeon and I decided that since I would have this opportunity I would probably be able to reach a new low if I worked on it, and work is what I plan to do, so wish me luck, quick healing, and days filled with good plans that have been executed well.
My only regret is the no exercise for a few days besides walking. How will I survive that mentally?
I’ll continue this blog series with my experience with this outpatient surgery as compared to my first surgery at 424 pounds.
See you all later!
