Lynn’s Sunflower Seed and Sage Crusted Chicken

Thanks go out to Lynn for sharing this delicious variation on “oven fried” chicken.  It takes only 5 minutes to prepare and about 20 minutes to bake.  This recipe is intended as a single serving.


Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment
  3. Combine sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, sage and pepper in a small bowl
  4. Place egg white in a small shallow bowl
  5. Coat the chicken tenders entirely with egg white, then dip in the seed mixture coating both sides
  6. Transfer to 1 side of the baking sheet.
  7. Mist the surface of the chicken with olive oil cooking spray
  8. Flip the tenders with a fork and mist the other side.
  9. Bake 15-17 minutes until chicken is cooked through flipping the tenders at the halfway point.

Serve with your favorite side and enjoy!
