My Big Fat Greek Turkey Burger

These burgers get your protein and your veggies all in one bite, no fat involved.  Grill them or broil them or cook them in a pan stove-top.  Any way you make them they are delish.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Spray a pan with olive oil spray and head to medium on the stove
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3 minutes
  3. Add the garlic, mix and cook for another 2 minutes
  4. Add the spinach, mix and cook for 3 minutes
  5. Mix in the salt, pepper and nutmeg
  6. Remove to a mixing bowl and allow to cool (I put it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes)
  7. Add the ground turkey, Panko bread crumbs, egg substitute and the remaining seasonings.  Mix well
  8. Form into 4 patties and chill for at least 10 minutes in the refrigerator (this helps the patties stay together on the grill)
  9. Grill on medium heat or in the pan on your stove, or broil for about 5-6 minutes per side turning once.  Internal temperature should be around 165 degrees.
  10. Serve hot
