No Bake Peanut Butter Brownie Protein Bars
What? You think I don’t get a sweet tooth? I do, and while I try not to “feed” it I do need protein bars to take with me or to grab on the go if a sit down meal becomes impossible. This simple, no cook recipe will make 12 yummy tasting brownie protein bars with enough fiber to keep you satisfied for quite some time.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups of chocolate or peanut butter chocolate whey protein powder (I use Isoflex pure whey isolate)
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (ground peanuts only - nothing added)
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 1 cup uncooked oats
- 2-4 Tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
Directions:
- Mix peanut butter and honey together in a bowl.
- Microwave for 30 seconds to soften
- Add oats, protein powder, unsweetened cocoa and start with 2 Tablespoons of water
- Mix together - the result should be crumbly and slightly moist. Add additional water as necessary
- Press into an 8x8 or 9x9 brownie pan
- Refrigerate for 20 minutes
- Cut into 12 equal bars
