Scorching Garlic Chili Sesame Shrimp and Zoodles
Just know I am telling the truth when I say scorching! This dish was delicious if you like it hot and spicy, which we do. I use Trader Joe’s Wild Caught Argentinian Shrimp from the freezer section because they are already deveined, tails are off so all I do is thaw. I like it easy and this recipe is that with only 6 ingredients and a few simple steps. Start to finish was less than 20 minutes, including making the zoodles.
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces Shrimp
- 2 Medium Zucchini (I Like Golden Zucchini- It’s Sweeter Than Green) Spiralized Into Zoodles (14 oz of Zoodles is What I Used)
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Garlic Chili Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
Directions:
- In a large bowl whisk together the garlic chili sauce, hoisin, soy sauce and sesame oil
- Reserve half the sauce in a small bowl or measuring cup
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat with the sauce
- Heat a large skillet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray to medium high and add the shrimp. Sauté for 2 minutes and then turn over. Spoon a bit of the reserved sauce on to the cooked side of the shrimp. Continue cooking for another minute or so, until done
- Remove the shrimp to a plate and add the zoodles. Sauté for 1 minutes and then add remaining sauce that had been set aside. Continue with the sauté of the zoodles, mixing in the sauce for 1-3 minutes, until just tender (al dente)
- Add the shrimp back in to warm through and then serve in bowls
