Spinach, Mozzarella, Mushroom Turkey Burgers
Here’s another take on turkey burgers that can be grilled or done stove top. My family approves and your protein and produce is all in one place.
Ingredients:
- One pound Ground Turkey
- 3 Egg Whites, Slightly Beaten
- 5 ounces Frozen Spinach, Defrosted
- 3/4 cup Light Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (I Used Trader Joe’s Brand)
- 1 cup of Baby Bella Mushrooms (Crimini) Sliced and Sautéed In a Pan That Has Been Sprayed With Olive Oil Non Stick Spray
- Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder and Some Crushed Red Pepper (We Like It Hot) to Taste
Directions:
- In a large bowl mix together all of the ingredients by hand
- Form 4 patties
- Cook on the grill or in a pan that has been sprayed with non stick spray, about 5- 6 minutes per side or until meat is completely cooked
- Serve hot on lettuce leaves or on toasted buns
