Most of you know I had surgery in 2004, and I shed 250+ lbs. I gained back a life when I shed that weight.
I am grateful to be able to hike.
I am grateful to be able to swim and snorkel and dive.
I am grateful to be able to ride a bike.
I am grateful to be able to fit in an airline seat.
I am grateful to be able to fit in a helicopter seat.
I am grateful to be able to play with my grandchildren.
I am grateful to be able to wake up each morning and find something to smile about.
I am grateful for this amazing WLS community that has developed since my 2004 surgery.
I am grateful for the best bariatric surgeon in the world with an office team that is as great as he is.
I am grateful for my husband, my lover, my best friend who has stuck with me, fat or not, for 50+ years.
I am grateful for my friends and family, all over the country, and the world.
I am grateful to be able to live in a beautiful spot - close to the beach in CA - fires and earthquakes be damned.
I am grateful to be alive.
